Corporate Plan 2026–2030

This Corporate Plan marks an important milestone in the Commission’s transition from establishment to system leadership, clarifying expectations, identifying where progress is insufficient and supporting action to address systemic barriers.

The period covered by this plan coincides with implementation of the Second Action Plan under the National Plan to End Violence against Women and Children 2022–2032. This is a critical phase. Commitments must translate into measurable outcomes. Progress must be monitored transparently. Governments must be supported and challenged to deliver.

The Commission will focus where it can have the greatest influence: 

• providing authoritative strategic advice,
• strengthening national accountability and monitoring, 
• embedding lived experience at the centre of reform, and
• promoting greater system coordination and coherence.

Our success will not be measured by the number of reports we produce or meetings we attend, but by whether our work results in better decisions, stronger implementation and improved outcomes – an Australia in which gender-based violence becomes rare, brief and non-recurring.
